Everyone likes to be acknowledged, for example when we've done something good, or when we have achieved something that we've aimed for. It just feels so good when people metaphorically pat you on the back for your achievements. This is one of the many benefits of having a coach, whose job is to have your back and to be there through the ups and downs of your life.
Imagine a child who is doing great at school or sports or music and who is due to perform for an audience. They will be impelled to win or do well for themselves, sure, but if their parent is watching they will be spurred on more especially if they know the parent will be there for them whether they win or lose. They will hopefully be acknowledged for who they are, rather than for what they have or have not done.
But the aspect of witnessing was impressed upon me more recently when I was reading about the technique of ThetaHealing which is done in the theta brainwave state. Part of the process involves watching the Creator make the changes in the client. This is actually quite important as it turns out. You can watch this fun little YouTube clip of Dr. Quantum explaining what happened during the The Double Slit Experiment and what physicists discovered when the experiment was being watched by a camera. The same holds true when the scientists were watching.
What they discovered at a quantum level is an important lesson for us to learn. If we understand that our very thoughts are things in the respect that they are, shall we say electronomagnetic emissions, then we can understand that they can create an actual affect on the world around us. We know that when we put our intention on something, and keep it there on a sustained basis, we are more likely to achieve that intended result. That is another way of witnessing.
One of the more interesting things that I've picked up over the years is that changes made at the smallest level for example the quantum level or the thought level, has more power for change than changes made purely in the outer world.
When we are in Theta, or the theta brainwave state, we are actually being in the most effective level of our mind which is why when we command for changes in that brainwave state, we are making actual changes at the most profound level of our Being, which starts the process on a subatomic level.
We have been programmed to think that we must make changes in our outer world for change to happen. But if we take this information to heart and realize that the changes in the outside world must be the last changes we need to make, not the first, and they must be determined by the guidance we get from within we can begin to see the power that witnessing our thoughts can have for our life.
This is one of the benefits of meditation and going into theta. You slow down your brainwaves, breathe more slowly and deeply, and you have access to your greater Being or your greater capacity. You can make better changes in your life from that level of Mind (which is not the same as your brain) and be in better alignment, in more harmony with Who You Really Are at the Soul level. Believe me, your life will change for the better in all ways, and you will look back at the decisions you made earlier in your life and wonder what the heck you were thinking!
