One of the main things that comes up over and over again in the Akashic Record readings is the beliefs and patterns that are holding us back from having, doing and being what we want in this life time. This is especially noticeable for lightworkers who are most conscious that they are creating their reality from within.
I've found, the more I go into theta to make One Commands, the better my intuitive abilities grow. Also what is happening is that once I clear one problem and start to integrate the knowledge I've gained when I'm Up There (as it were), a short while later something will come up in my life that points the finger at another belief or reaction pattern that needs to be dealt with. The good thing is that once you start on this process, you more quickly recognize that your reactions are a belief or pattern of reaction, and then it becomes much more clear what you are doing to yourself and what you need to change.
I'll give you an example. Just today, based on something that happened this week, when someone let me down (and for me it's usually around money), the old pattern of not feeling valued or appreciated or supported came up for me. As I was doing my journalling in the Records they pointed out to me it was largely based on the fact that my father would make promises to do something that I thought would be fun, and we would never do it (unless, of course, it was something he wanted to do, which I don't ever remember happening!). This usually translates in clients not showing up for an appointment, or just saying that old disabling phrase "I can't afford it".
What I was given to understand this morning was that it was my pattern, but that there was another aspect that was entirely to do with the other person. The work I do can be intense and deep, and that's the way I like it! But for some people, they just aren't ready to face up to the fact that they are the ones sabotaging themselves. Until you are ready to take responsibility for the life you are creating you can't change it.
We are infinitely more powerful than we have been led to believe. I heard someone say that as we are part of the Creator, we also have Creator's powers at our fingertips. No, it's not quite like magic where we wave a magic wand and make it all like we want. But when we understand that our thoughts and feelings are the tools that create our life, we begin to understand and can use the magic that's really within us to make significant changes. Sometimes these can be quick, sometimes there is other stuff that has to be got out of the way. And of course, we have to take into account that we live in a three dimensional world, which slows everything down, but also gives us the buffer of time to change our mind if we want to.
